Care and Storage Guide for Forage and Toys
Forage Blends & Edible Treats
-
Keep it Cool: Store in a cool, dry place.
-
Airtight is Best: Once opened, keep forage in an airtight container or a sealed glass jar to maintain freshness
Boxed Hay
-
Let it Breathe: hay actually likes a little airflow! If you keep it in the box, keep the top slightly open or poke a few air holes. Do not store in a plastic tote with a lid.
-
Natural Variation: Since hay is a natural product, you may see slight color changes between seasons. this is normal and a sign of a truly fresh, un-processed product!
Handmade Toys
-
Safety First: Inspect toys daily. If wood is chewed down to a sharp point or a string becomes loose, it’s time to remove it and replace it with a fresh one
-
A Note on Colour: We use 100% natural fruit juices to colour our handmade toys. Because these are natural pigments and contain no preservatives, you may notice slight fading over time or minor discoloration if the toy gets wet (e.g., in a water bowl).
